I think the “STEM Magazineā€ blog will be the most useful to me in my teaching. It is a monthly publication that includes articles on upcoming workshops for students and educators, articles from real-world members of the STEM community, as well as career opportunities for young people. Although I no longer teach in the high school (so these opportunities would be of limited use for me in my MS classroom), I do tutor in the high school and am frequently tasked with helping students with their mathematics research and exploration papers in the IB. What a fantastic source to support these students!

I am very new to STEM so do not have any resources to share with others at this point. I am enjoying learning about all the resources out there so that I may able to share with others in the future.

I found the NASA website to be the most useful because it has activities that can used in the classroom for free. I found a Kahoot game and an escape room that would be very easy to integrate into my class. As a math teacher, I was excited about the data collaboration project NASA offers in which students can collect temperature data to be added to a worldwide data base. We could use this data to model trigonometric functions in the classroom.
I was initially excited about “Project Lead the Way” but was disappointed to learn that their curricula is proprietary and requires fees to gain access.

I am very new to STEM so I don’t know that I can offer any sources that I use regularly. As a math teacher, I use desmos.com activities regularly and find them very useful.
