The tech tool you found most engaging or fun to use – Google Slide I used this to create a weekly schedule page. On this page I have listed each day of the week and in the upper left hand corner I created a spot for upcoming quizzes or tests and in the upper right hand corner is a place for upcoming any all school activities
One challenge you had while developing activities using the tech tools – For me one the biggest challenges with any kind of technology is students who either do not have their school issued device or it is not charged for those students I provide a paper version
A link or screenshot of an activity you developed using one of the tech tools

I have added a link but it is not showing up

We use Schoology for our MLS. On Schoology I post my weekly schedule which lets the students know what is covered that week. I create a Notes folder and in that folder are three other folders; Blank Notes, Video Notes and Filled-In Notes. In the Blank Notes folder is a copy of the blank notes for the day and Video Notes folder contains a video of my teaching that day’s lesson and Filled-In Notes folder contains a copy of the filled in notes. This a resource available to all students but is especially helpful for any student who was absent on the day notes were given. I also provide a folder with links to PowerSchool so students can easily check their grade not only in my class but all of their classes. Other links that are provided are for MathXL the program used for their assignments along with links to Desmo calculators. This helps student have access to calculators without having an actual handheld calculator.

For me the most challenging part of online teaching is keeping the students engaged and focused. It the reading it mentioned creating a student FAQ for the classroom. I believe this will be a powerful tool as when students ask questions that are meant to be a distractor or derailer of the days lesson I can just refer them to the FAQ. I would most likely follow up with that student at another time to make sure they got their question answered.

At my school we use Schoology and for me I love folders. I create folders for everything. I have folders within folders. Here is an example of how I set things up:

    Quarter (insert number) [main folder]
link for Late Work Notification Form
Links (bookmark these) – this folder contains all the common used links for my classes
Blank Notes & Vocabulary Sheets – this folder contains folders for the chapters we will cover during the specific Quarter we are in
Week of – each week a folder appears on Mon morning for that specific week
Weekly Schedule – this folder contains that weeks schedule
Bell Ringers – this folder contains a folder for each day we have a Bell Ringer it only appears for that day and only for 15 minutes
Notes – contains the notes we cover that week the appear on the day we do those notes I have 3 folders in this one
Blank Notes released at the beginning of the day
Video Notes released at the end of the day
Filled In Notes released at the end of the day
I have a co-teacher who always tells our students at the beginning of each year if you want to learn organizational skills pay attention to how Mrs. Duffy sets things up in Schoology.
