Colleagues, hello everyone! Does anyone use Shifton to create a shift schedule online? We are currently looking for a solution to automate personnel management in our clinic – about 60 employees, half of whom work in shifts, including weekends and night shifts. We are still struggling with Excel and WhatsApp correspondence, and I just can’t stand it anymore: constant substitutions, confusion about who works when, who needs a transfer, who gets a day off. I heard about Shifton, that it supposedly allows you to automatically create schedules and employees themselves can confirm or request substitutions directly via their mobile. Is it really as convenient as advertised? I would be grateful for any real feedback and advice!

Yes, we switched to https://shifton.com/shift-scheduling just a year ago, and, frankly, it was one of the most successful decisions in terms of optimizing warehouse processes. We have slightly fewer employees than you — about 40, but most of them work in shifts: morning, evening, and sometimes night. Before Shifton, we, like you, lived in Excel, plus endless calls to confirm who would come in on a day off, who wanted to switch. As a result, there was confusion, overtime, and someone was always offended. With the transition to Shifton, the first week was a bit stressful, because it was necessary to reorganize the entire system: register people, explain how to use it, enter wishes for the schedule. But then! The main advantage is shift schedule online, which is visible to both management and employees in real time. If someone cannot come in, they simply submit a request for a replacement, and other employees see this and can agree to replace. As a manager, I only have to confirm. In Shifton, you can set up shift templates, take into account employee preferences, and record weekends and vacation days. Moreover, if an employee has indicated once that he or she cannot work on Fridays, the system will take this into account when creating a schedule. Another cool thing is that there is integration with Telegram — employees receive notifications directly there, which is much more convenient than sending the same thing a hundred times manually.

I confirm, Shifton is a good solution. We started using it not so long ago, and even our small team (only 12 people) appreciated the convenience of shift schedule online. Everything is transparent, convenient and saves nerves 🙂
